Network Conectivity

STI is responsible for the definition of strategical rules and the planning of activities for the disponibilization of services related to the installation, maintenance and management of the Universidade de São Paulo´s communication network – known as USPnet.

USPnet implements an intercampi data communication network by utilizing services of an Wide Area Network that effectively interconnects the USP campi, offering at least 05 (five) interconnection points to the USPnet backbone and from the backbone to the Internet through distinct accesses, turning the USPnet into a robust network, with high availability and top performance.

With throughput peeking of 10 Gbps, USPnet is positioned between the biggest teaching research and administrative data communication network in South America.
